Position:  Manager, Organizational Giving

Reports to:  President & CEO

Surrey Hospital & Outpatient Centre Foundation is celebrating 25 years and $100 million of community support for patients and families throughout the Fraser Health region.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the President, the Manager of Organizational Giving will be responsible for securing a minimum of $350,000 in sponsorship revenue annually.  The position involves managing existing corporate relationships and securing additional revenue sources by developing new relationships with prospects. Upon completion of a mandatory probationary period of 3 months, this will be a full-time salaried position with benefits.

About You

You are composed and articulate, flexible, motivated and organized, and you enjoy speaking to a variety of people.  You understand what corporations want from philanthropic giving and how this broadening sector can mutually benefit both non-profits and the business sector.

You will work with an experienced team of professionals and must be comfortable referring prospective donors to other portfolios.  You must be entrepreneurial in your approach, and a self-starter, with the ability to recognize emerging opportunities.  This must be balanced with an adherence to the highest possible professional standards required within a regulated industry.

You have a minimum of five years’ experience in a mid to large non-profit or financial institution.  Proficiency in Punjabi would be an asset. Please note that this position requires attendance at events on evenings and some weekends, and we recommend that the successful candidate have access to a car.

Primary Duties

  • Achieving sponsorship goals for different events
  • Maintain relationships with corporate donors
  • Engage new corporate partners
  • Network in your defined community to promote foundation events
  • Prepare progress reports for the Boards of Directors and donor proposals/presentations as required. Proficient with MS Outlook, MS Office, and Windows 7. Previous experience using a Customer Relations Database.
  • Work with volunteers.
